01What it is

There is no "normal" way to think.

Neurodiversity is the natural variation in how each brain develops, processes information and experiences the world: how we learn, communicate, regulate attention and emotions, and interact with others.

Being neurodivergent brings strengths and challenges. Difficulties often arise when the environment does not fit the person. Autism and ADHD are among the best known forms, alongside other developmental and learning differences.

A diagnosis on its own tells us relatively little about a person's strengths, difficulties and support needs. That is why we always start from the individual profile
02How we can help

Six ways we help, matched to each profile.

01Communication training
Support to develop functional, meaningful communication: spontaneous communication, conversation, expressing needs and emotions, understanding others and, where appropriate, augmentative or alternative communication.
02Learning support and programmes
Assessment and design of individualised programmes based on each person's skills, learning profile and priorities, and help for families, schools and professionals to teach them well.
03Behaviour and emotional regulation
Understanding what lies behind difficult behaviour and developing more adaptive ways to communicate and cope: regulation, flexibility, frustration tolerance and self-control, while also adapting the environment.
04Parent support and guidance
Working with parents to understand their child's profile, set priorities and create practical strategies for routines, independence, communication and transitions, and to carry what is learnt into home and community life.
05School support and consultancy
Working with schools and educational teams: observation and assessment, individualised goals, classroom strategies, home and school communication and training for staff.
06Intensive behavioural intervention
Structured programmes for children and young people who need more support, built after a comprehensive assessment and based on the principles of ABA, with goals chosen with the family and progress measured continuously with data.

04Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most.

01What is ABA?
Applied Behaviour Analysis is the applied science of behaviour and learning. It provides principles and methods to understand why a behaviour happens, develop meaningful skills and design individualised interventions, evaluated with data.
02Is intervention only for autism?
No. We work with autism, ADHD and other developmental and learning differences, and with children, young people, adults and families.
03Do parents take part?
Yes. Parent support is part of the process, so that what is learnt carries over into home and everyday routines.
04Do you work with schools?
Yes. We can observe, set goals and strategies with the educational team and support communication between home and school.
05How do we know it is working?
Goals are concrete and progress is assessed continuously with data, so the plan can be adjusted whenever needed.
